Vintage .22 Ammo Collection

Hay @Rush, is that all you have? I was expecting a lot more! (Just kidding of course)

That is one neck of a collection, thanks for sharing it with us.

***EDIT***
Oh my goodness, I just saw the collection @Classic12 posted. That is also one neck of a collection. Very nice guys!!!

A couple of store display spinners that I picked up. Have a mixture of boxes in them. I am an indiscriminate collector. Mostly like .22's though.

I'd like to show some off but I don't think I want to spend the next three days digging them out and putting them back. What I can get to easily is not as interesting as what ya'll have posted. Beautifull displays gentleman, or ladies, as the case may be.

Llance, get them out and take pictures. It is cold out, what else you got to do?

I don't think I have any old boxes of .22lr ammo but I have a good choice of stuff that has been available for the past 15 years or so.

Bricks on the Shelf. What ammo shortage? It has gotten to the point that I can not buy ammo cheaper than I have in the boxes and bricks of my collection. If it comes down to it this all becomes shootable!

Unlike a friend of mine, I just buy stuff and throw it on the shelf. He records everything he buys, how much he paid for it, where he bought it, when he bought and probably records things I never ever think about.

I record my vintage .22 ammo, but if I had your ammo, it would take me the rest of my life to record it!😀 Of course, it would be nice to know what all you have.

That looks like the same model Remington case I had. I sold it but still have all the old 22s. This should be prime time to collect. All the old ammo is now showing up at shows.

Drm50, that is because it is your old case!:) The only thing better is if you had thrown in your ammo back then!!:D

AJ, I took a look in the dungeon this afternoon and decided that time is all I have other than my health. Digging into the dungeon for ammo is a bit like going on safari looking for tigers under trees. You would understand if you saw the dungeon.

I'll try to post a picture.

The dungeon is behind the curtain in picture #3. Pictures #1 & 2 show it as I was starting to enlarge the space. I still can't stand up in there.

I see open floor space. You need to get that filled also.

For those of you truly interested in .22 box collecting, you should visit the Wards Collectibles site. You can find out everything you would ever want to know there. See: .22 Box Identification Guide for Collectors

I just got a chance to look at this site for a very few minutes and something I thought was kinda cool. Under the CCI Commemorative Boxes were these. It seems they would sometimes make boxes to commemorate special occasions for some employees, like retirements of longtime employees, I guess. I wonder how many they made of each? I would assume they were never for sale to the public, just maybe for the families. Check these few out.

Here's my contribution. Not much yet. Display cases are reproduction.
