Depends on my mood!
I've been looking for a long time to find one that wasn't all beat up and this one just popped up on my computer screen a week ago. Didn't have the original box, but that's OK with me.

The kicker was the box that it came in. Everyone in my LGS went silent when the staff brought it out from the back and put it on the counter (see photos). The original grips are tucked away for safe keeping 'till I find a set of smooth target grips.

Nice find.

Is there a story behind this?

Not as far as I know. The seller just packed it in an Evidence box because that's what he had, I suppose. The funny part was when the LGS went silent as the owner carried it out of the back room!

My first hand gun was a 13 - 2 in 1974 when I was 18. The colts were awesome but over my budget. So were the 44 S & W magnums.

Still have it, looks like the day I bought it. In those days we didn't keep the cheap cardboard box. I had them replace the childrens size cap gun grips with the full size target grips before I left the gun shop. I have XXXL hands. Surprisingly I still have the original grips as well. I am 66 years old now and would never sell it.

Congrats!
