If you've ever wanted to mosey down the streets of your own Wild West town, the possibility is just a short hop – and about $25 million – away.

The 480-acre property, known as the Ranch at Fish Creek, is listed by Engel & Völkers for $25,500,000.

It includes a massive lodge, several guest cabins, an indoor equestrian arena and a lake, complete with a boathouse.

But what makes the home truly special is its place in movie history with the 1992 film Unforgiven starring Clint Eastwood.

"The movie was filmed in the region directly next to the ranch. Clint Eastwood stayed on the ranch during filming and his co-stars Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris also spent a lot of time here," said Chris Burns, listing advisor with Engel & Völkers, in a release...​

$25.5m? If that's in Canadian dollars, it's "only" about $18.6m USD.

I spent a few years on a ranch in Se NM that was one of the smaller ranches in the area . It consisted of over 18.5 sections , There is " 640 acres " to a section . I lived / worked on the ranch alone . Regards Paul

When I was in school, I vaguely remember a simple law course. The only thing I remember from it was a term called "salesman's boasting", which allowed for a measure of..... um... hyperbole. I guess that fits into the listing's description. But it's still a fair piece of acreage. Lucky it isn't largely lawn...

Jeez, I couldn't afford the taxes or utilities bills let alone the purchase price. I think sprawling is in the eye of the beholder. I was expecting something over a thousand acres, but honestly 480 is a fair-sized piece of ground in my neck of the woods.

Texas, NM etc. not so much.

I wonder what the timber and mineral values might be not to mention access to water.

Aaarrrggghhh.... I had never heard of a metric acre. Up here we officially use "hectares" - whatever they are - but I see that 640 acres is 259 hectares.

I've been pretty successful at ignoring metric since it was introduced here around 1975. It's the standard for science, of course, and in fact, most of the rest of the world, but in my world it's more of a nuisance than anything, although I can flip between systems for temperature and some dimensional measurements. Most younger people here know only metric, unless they work in building supplies- because no one asks for lumber in metric dimensions! Nor orders gravel or concrete.

Up here a 480 acre "sprawling" ranch is a "hobby farm".

LOL. I'm somewhat sympathetic to the snow thing. As to being in Canada, we have our problems up here, too, but "sometimes you gotta dance with the one whut brought ya" and at this point in my life it's unlikely I'll be moving now. But I'm only 70 so you never know....
