As for a place to shoot, Minuteman is shotgun only. I do not know the local clubs, but if you are willing to drive 35 miles to Pelham , NH, the Pelham Rod and Gun club is a beauty, and the dues are like 200 a year. I have shot there many times in past years

Local people who sell guns and use them can point you to a good range that fits your needs. I'd talk with the local cops and a couple of big gun sellers in the area for their recommendations.

Both my parents were born and raised in Salem, I went to Salem State, know the area well. Places to shoot are tough, Woburn has a nice range, I also went up to Tewksbury at On Target Sports, got some good deals on guns there too.
