our son just informed us he passed his Graduate project review presentation today... he will be awarded his masters degree in Aerospace Engineering the week before Christmas... so for Christmas, also his birthday, he will be getting an SKB Un-single trap & skeet setup... as a triple gift... he borrowed the cousin's when he shot competitive trap in high school.

We opened a bank accounts for them and said don't ask us for another cent, you have your own money now. All of a sudden they didn't want to spend anything.
Cash. Maybe ammo for my oldest or electronics for his little brother.

My two sons and my nephew are all grown and on their own, but always say the same thing when I ask: Just get me a gun. Just?
My lovely purple-haired daughter is not gunny. She usually wants some camera gizmo.
With the boys at least I can spread it out all year looking for deals.
Thats the big stuff. I get a kick out of seeing them open presents, even now, so I load them up with lesser gifts, too.

Everyone gets Zelle money transfers now but two of my grands had life burdens that were no fault of their own. I opened limited debit card accounts for each when they started university, with the understanding it be used responsibly.
Mission accomplished and accounts closed after they graduated and settled down.

For CHRISTmas we exchange pocket knives, always have. This year my son and I are trading pistols, I'm getting back some I gave him over the years that I want back, and he is getting a very good deal on some of mine he has shot in the past and liked.
