Added an Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x to the optic fleet. The Chronus 4.5-29x on my 6.5CM bolt gun has been fantastic, so I decided to try the 3-18x. The glass is very good, and all of the mechanicals seem every bit as good as the Chronus so far. It also has the same reticle (MIL), which I really like.
Mounted it on my Sig 716i .308 for now... just need to find time to take it out and zero it.
We recently completed some optic T&E for work, and I was able to compare this scope and an Ares 1-10x to some much higher priced glass from Trijicon, Vortex and NF. The Athlon optics compared very favorably, even when disregarding the fact that they were much less expensive.

I just picked up this Smith CSX 9mm...fits my hand nice...price was right. It's single-action which I prefer. It's almost identical in size to my Kimber Micro9.
Handling it I noticed the trigger pull is kinda gritty...don't know whether that's endemic to the design or just this one. Maybe shooting it will help smooth it out.
A plus is that both the CSX and the Micro9 seem to fit fine in the same holsters.

Picked up a Taurus GX4 recently. I'm a sucker for an inexpensive small gun. It's turned out to be a real gem, accurate and very reliable.
I also have a 20ga Mossberg 590 Shockwave waiting for pickup at my FFL's. I got a used one for under $300, and my guy says it looks near-new. I prefer 20 because I'm old, dammit, and I don't much like the recoil of a little firestick any more!
