How much for a 19-3?

It seems as of lately my gun shop prices on pre 1982 P&R Smiths are on the rise! Although I mostly see guys 50 and over looking at the revolvers!

I think there are some buyers out there with more money than they know what to do with. I was watching an auction lately and looked at past purchases for the high bidder. This bidder had won several auctions over the previous months with hammer prices totaling over $40,000. Now someone who can spend that much on guns in one month's time, runs in different circles that I do. I don't even try bidding against those types.

My first PD gun in 1978 was a 4" Model 19. It had an absolutely flawless high polish finish. My Police Officer price was $175.

Whenever I see sales like that, I always wonder if alcohol was involved. Either way, some people just have more dollars than sense.

Alcohol and gun powder do not mix.

I have pristine, collector grade NIB 19-4, 3T. No turn line. I will sell for half of the 4700 +/-

Had no idea of $$$$ for 19's. Whata you think a cased nib 1973 Texas Ranger Commerative with tricked out 19 with Blackie Collins bowie with sheath and same serial as the 19 would go for? Slobber...slobber!
