I have posted these before but this seems an appropriate time to post them again. Two pictures of Bob Hope and his sideman, Jerry Collonna, appearing at some AAF Gunnery School during WWII. I found these two 8x10s at a garage sale many years ago.

There's the big difference between Hollywood then and now:

Except for a few insiders, that picture was probably never seen while either man was alive.

Nowadays it would be live-streamed, and probably considered good publicity.
