28-2's with smooth target stocks

Took out the 28-2's with smooth target stocks. 4" has factory Goncalo Alves targets and 6" has Culina osage orange.

As a grip junkie I play "Grip Poker". Sometimes I change grips between two like frame guns. It makes me feel like I have a new one. Recently with a couple of K frames.

Great Highway Patrolman Revolvers! Those smooth stocks are quite nice and very easy on the eyes.

Many of my guns wear smooth targets.
For me I shoot better with them than the checkered.

Paladin, those are impressive grips and revolvers! I have my smoothies on these plain janes but still like the look of matte revolver contrasting with glossy grips.

There sure are a lot of really nice 28s here.




My 28-2 came to me wearing these Pachmayr grips.
I killed a lot of jack rabbits with it wearing them.






I got this set of Magna grips in a Ziplock bag marked 28-2.
Another member told that they didn't think they were original to my gun
because of the wood that they are made of and they said they looked too
nice to get shipped on a 28-2 so I really don't know if they are the
originals or not.




Then I tried a nice set of Target Stocks.
This holster also came with the gun.






And why not try some nice Combat grips too.






And a set of smooth Targets.
I believe these are the original stocks to my 5" 27-2.






These are the Target Stocks that are on it right now as it sits on my nightstand.
I believe that they are era correct.

I've put more rounds thru my 28-2 than all my other guns combined.
And only three of them were .38 Specials.

I like the look of the smooth ones also. I used to have these Culina's; the wood is Lignum Vitae, a very hard dense wood with a neat interlocking grain.

The 5" 27-2 in those stocks is about as perfect as it gets in a double action revolver.
