What brand name products do you purchase over the generic

There is a country wide shortage of Rooster sauce. California made it so difficult for Huy Fong to grow their chili peppers that they contracted Mexican farms to grow them. The drought in Mexico has severely affected the chili crops. Huy Fong has been scrambling to find other suppliers without much success. This could be a while.

12oz bottles are selling, when you can find them in stores, for $35. EBay has the 28oz bottles for $90.

I am sitting on six unopened 28oz bottles. I may need a support group.

We are Costco members. Brand names there are quite reasonable.

They sell Band-aid brand there at huge discounts. That's what we use.

We buy Highland Transparent tape made by 3M. Same as Scotch but half the price. We buy the rolls and use our "office style" dispenser.

We don't really use cough syrup.

Costco Kirkland toilet paper.

Publix Bananas.

We usually buy fresh vegetables, not canned. If we have to buy canned, Costco's Kirkland or Del Monte is good.

Costco's - Kirkland stretch plastic wrap - much much better than Saran Wrap at a much better price.

These days, joining Costco is an absolute MUST!

Never use coupons because we never buy brand names. What makes brand names better? It's mostly advertising, which is a form of indoctrination, don't ya know?
