KARMA! KARMA! KARMA! Winner! Post #96

You’re offering a very nice karma, but I respectfully don’t want to participate. Having your father’s knife would make me feel like a vulture.

Keep it.

Now that we have a winner and I'm not throwing off the post numbers I can post to address an issue from this thread.
To those who said that they wouldn't feel right taking my father's knife, I understand and respect your position. However, it is not the only knife my father built and definitely not the only knife he ever used. I have many others to cherish. Nor is the sheath the only example of Uncle Don's work that I own. It has sat on a shelf for years. I'm sure both those men would be proud of the interest in their work and happy to see it go to someone who will enjoy it. I simply wanted to include it so that you could see this karma was personal to me and not just cleaning out my grip box.
Again, thanks to all who replied, participant or no. This was fun. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as me.:):):):)

Lihpster, you are very kind to offer up a part of yourself - your Dad - to the people of the forum. A wonderful gift contains something of the giver and something of the receiver. Your gift of the knife and grips tags both bases. Nicely done!

Now I have a question for you, having gone back to look at the initial photo. Your Dad's knife has 3 notches; two on one side, one on the other. Do you know and care to share the meaning of the notches?
