According to the article, they suspect it's in a lake. I'm glad the pilot will be OK, but that's $82.4 million down the hatch!

If the plane fell into either Lake Moultrie or Lake Marion it shouldn't be that hard to locate once a plume of leaking jet fuel surfaces. Average depth of both lakes is only 13-18 feet, with the original Santee River channels going to about 75 feet. They both have a relatively large surface area, though, so it could take a while if nobody witnessed the jet going down.

If you're a boater on either lake, a depth finder is pretty much mandatory. There are places where the water is shallow enough to bottom the outdrive, lots of rotting stumps and vegetation, too.

If I find it, I am using it for trading stock at the next gun show. Probably won't get as much without the ejection seat.

Can't believe nobody saw it or radar didn't have it's last location. It's not like it disappeared over the southern Indian Ocean.

Sounds like total electrical failure. Glad pilot out, but gonna have some splaining to do.

AS Glenwolde said, Chinese "tourists" will suddenly be going fishing.

I think that is the official story. The real truth possibly will come out!
