Hi guys
Got a concern on my 36-1 3" bbl.

With loaded ammo it won't allow trigger pull in other words it won't cock. It's pretty OK (not all the time) in S.A. When the cylinder is empty it works perfectly. So I took the empty of shell/spent primers and seated a 158 gr SWC and inserted into cylinder-no powder of course, to see if the bullet weight had something to do with it. SA and DA work perfectly but will not work on loaded, ready to go bullets. What do you think is happening?

I would also check to verify that there is no shooting debris on or under the extractor, or on the breechface.

Cleaned all those areas already. The ?? is why wont it shoot DA with loaded ammo but will shoot with unpowdered ammo with a 158gr bullet in it. The 3.1 grs shouldn't make a difference
I'm perplexed

Break down and buy some factory ammo. If it still has the problem, it's not the ammo. I suspect you might need to clean the innards.

When an S&W revo is acting squirrely, I remove the sideplate and check for broken hammer or trigger pivot pin. They will make the gun act OK intermittently, sometimes kinda work, and sometimes not work. This is just one possibility of many.
