CZ / Colt spending money on Sellier -Bellot

Nothing said about ammunition being manufactured in the USA. At least initially. Also seems that US ammunition sales and distribution will remain under CBC. Looks like Vista turned down the.CZ-Colt offer to buy. But it looks like the Czech CSG group did acquire Fiocchi. Interesting times in the ammunition business,

Ammunition prices should be dropping anytime now.

As Bachman- Turner Overdrive said in 1974...

You aint seen nothin yet

B-b- baby you just aint seen nothin yet.....

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'

Looks like the last big ammo Co. that remains on their own will be Winchester. We'll see how long that lasts! Looks like the ammo company's will sort of have a monopoly now.

Just the way everything else business wise is going in this country. Create a monopoly and cash in.

So I figure prices should start dropping any day now!
You think? ;)

US Steel- Nippon Steel anyone?

I'm not just concerned about the price (yes, prices will rise) but about the control and distribution of it as well. When the gov't gives one of these mega company's a huge contract, the ammo company's will of course be "loyal" first and foremost to their biggest customer and won't really give a hoot much about the average armed citizen anymore.

I get it. A Gov't run ammo company. What could possibly go wrong.

For us.

I feel like we are one DOJ action away from simply going to a store to buy ammo to a much more involved process.

Before anyone asks, I don't know what it will be. The unelected bureaucrats are hard to predict. It doesn't even have to be legal as we all know. It is much easier to control a small number of manufacturers.

I agree with you completely.

There is a whole HOST of things they can do with ammo, to make recreational shooting prohibitive, and it will come. Give it time. Im surprised it has taken THIS long.

Mail order ammo someday wont be allowed. Guaranteed. Already not in some places.
