I just got a request to join the NRA in the mail yesterday. I was a member many many years ago. Is it worth my while to join the NRA? Are there problems within that I should be aware of? Not really an active shooter, but do believe we have the rights to bear arms, and I do want to have something to protect myself and my family.
Are there issues I should be aware of?

They are the best friend we have and better now with him gone. They still have a fair amount of clout in DC. I have been a member for over 50 years and am now an Endowment Member.

It was past time for him to go. I just hope it will get those former members to rejoin the organization. We gun owners' rights are getting more endangered every day and every organization has to continue the fight.

I am a member of several gun rights organizations. The more on board to fight the never ending fight, the better !
A member of : Gun Owners of America { GOA }, Judicial Watch, NRA, Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep & Bear Arms, Second Amendment Foundation, National Association for Gun Rights .

I've been a member for 60 years. Every time my membership starts to lapse, I get a call. I always tell them I'll rejoin when he resigns. The give me yada yada on the phone. (Then, I rejoin on my own without fanfare.)

Now, I'll sign up to be a benefactor member.

We NEED the NRA, but we don't need bad people running it.

The NRA has been getting bad raps in recent years. It was because of HIM. Now we will move forward to do the tasks that are needed.

I just got this off Google... Mr. LaPierre, 74, has led the N.R.A., once one of the nation’s most prominent lobbying organizations, for more than three decades. But his resignation came as he faced his gravest challenge yet, a corruption trial in Manhattan amid a legal showdown with New York’s attorney general, Letitia James. Jury selection has already begun, and Mr. LaPierre has been in the courtroom for some of it. You go Ms James!
