lately I have been hearing about the .gov starting up a "Red Flag Bureau." This is to stop guns from "falling into the wrong hands." Seems like a better application might be to keep M4's and M9's away from terrorists. Now, I'm not "presupposing" that these small arms came from a "hasty retreat" a couple countries over but I see no Iranian Facebook listings offering to "desert camo" your carbine. Humor only, no political commentary wanted. Joe

Sorry, I tried to fix the link but it's smarter than me.

In today's "gun control funnies" some .gov types have asked the "Treasury Munchkin lady to "inquire" as to the "wisdom" of allowing a "Privately owned Czech business" to control 70% of the "Western world's" primer production. Wow, musta been weeks of meetings, junkets to Europe, the Caribbean (Hey, it's still almost Winter) as well as late night "synergy meetings" (Hoot-n-holler parties with strippers and ice sculptures). Too bad Epstein was strangled otherwise they could go to "the island" for in-depth research. How about; KEEP IT AMERICAN! I'll send the invoice. Joe

Yeah, I have also seen some recent references to the Federal Government trying to enact a new "Nation-wide red flag law" at the Federal level.

It seems that our overlords aren't content with violating our individual rights (under the 2nd and 4th amendments) on a state-by-state level, so now the current administration wants to enshrine that violation of our rights into a FEDERAL statute.

Please correct me if I'm wrong - because I hope I am....

You're not wrong...

How hard is it to enforce exisiting laws and to stop acting like Minority Report should be a real thing...

I think it's time the federal goverment leads by example and gets disarmed so the rest of us can sleep more peacefully at night.

We got local LE, we don't need armed feds... Here's a hint, anyone I know who has worked in LE and had interactions with feds all said it was a clown show. Movies and TV has attempted to make them look cool.

One of my favorites for the FBI is: Famous But Incompetent.

Too much logic. How about "Red Flag Laws" for proven, convicted violent criminals, conveniently located in "select inner city arenas"? Naw, that would be wrong, sociologically speaking. Joe

I have a friend and fellow forum member here who is a retired FBI agent.

He's one of the good guys.

Of course, they're not "all bad", and there will always be good ones out there.

The same can be said of a lot of local modern LE today.

Many of them serve Big Gov and not the people. I've had personal friends or associates who are retired LE who say themselves that modern LE is in it for the pensions more then the good of their community and that they're dismayed what their profession has largely turned into.

EXACTLY.

As is continually proven the longer the world keeps turning, and we are REGRESSING in the modern era and not PROGRESSING (I don't mean in the liberal sense, just logically, scientifically, socially, etc.) that commonsense is truly not all that common.

My personal opinion is always facts over feelings. 99.9% of good gun owners don't misuse their guns, but in Bizzaro World it makes sense to go after them instead of the causes of crime...
