I trained at Gunfight Academy! Where did you train?

Perhaps we should shut down this thread until...next April 1? :)

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to close threads, nor reopen them at a later time.

Besides, it suits my new style persona anyway now that I've decided to stop taking things so seriously.

Foundational trading was through the NRA followed by FLETC and then the American Small Arms Academy with the late Chuck Taylor as well as NRA law enforcement instructor training and Submachine gun instructor training through the NRA.

Chuck Taylor is a great guy, I own a pair of the high top sneakers he designed specifically for shooting.

I always get sucked into these April fool things.

Takes me a while to figure them out then I feel truly foolish.

As a kid I received weekly training on one of these by Sgt. Saunders...

I trained at Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Girls. Usually on 10 cent tequila night.

Carry on, my wayward friend.

I trained with these.

Still do.

It beats a sharpened stick.

I too was well trained at the infamous (i.e. MORE than famous) American Shootgood School (usually referred to by its acronym) in using my Smiff & Weston .45 Magnum with built in silencer, dum-dum bullets, and of course the shoulder thing that goes up.

This post reminded me of my former next door neighbor who used to come over to talk to me about guns and would go on and on about his "Winchester .45 Scoped Magnum Revolver".

No matter how many opportunities I gave him to back out of that statement, maybe do a bit of research to see if the firearm he claimed to own even existed, he just kept right on at it. I must have asked him, "Are you sure about that?" on at least five separate occasions in attempt to subtly hint that no such thing existed, but he was adamant about it and even started to get impatient with me over it, so I just let him keep going with it.

Training

Blackwater. Defensive Pistol 1. 2500 rounds/1 week. Glock 27 with full power ammo (train like you would fight). The ole Glock trigger finger pinch got to me by Wednesday, was doing the double wrap band aid deal to stop the blood seepage from behind my finger nail.

Sitting on top of one of the brick columns framing the gate at my grandfather's far. Shooting moving targets (ie cows being herded down the road) in the butt with my Daisy Red Ryder until my grandfather saw me and like to wear my backside out. Think I was around 6-7 at the time. Later graduated to the old burnt out 55 gallon drum in the pasture with my .22. Work past that is, unfortunately, still classified.
