Can we please stop the ammo "slamming" for guns in off beat calibers.

There was just a post from someone showing their .41 magnum and we had to have the oblgatory ".41 can't do anything that .44 won't do better" post.

I like and shoot a lot of .38 Super when shooting pistols, any talk of of that caliber brings the 9mm comparisons.

I am also a fan of the .32 caliber guns. Any talk of a .327 mag gun starts the .327 vs. .357 debate.

I along with many other people really enjoy .22 WMR (look at all the new autoloaders that have come out in the recent years), so we get the "in a handgun it is not much more powerful than .22 LR"comments.

Look for most of us shooting is a hobby and different people enjoy different aspects of the sport. So when someone is posting about their new gun in .44 Russian can we leave off the comments about how .38-40 is the superior round.

Rant Off

Of course if someone posts requesting info on a particular round of for a comparison of 2 or more calibers, let's have at it.

Some people like blondes, some like redheads, some like brunettes. They all get the job done.

Very well said and I agree with you 100% on every point!:):):) A "Like" simply isn't enough.

:D:D:D

I just bought a NIB Italian made Beretta 81 (recent production) in .32 acp with the box, outer shell, papers, and all the goodies. It appears to be unfired outside of the factory and I got it for $625.00 including transfer.

They are popular in Europe but not very many were exported to US.

Why not very many you ask? Because it's a 32 acp. and it's OBVIOUSLY not powerful enough to be a man stopper. M told James Bond to put his away. I can hear the members now, "The Beretta 81 is such a big pistol for such a small caliber, I just don't get it."

Well you don't have to get it. I have large mits and I like large pistols, but I don't want to shoot a large caliber all the time.

I've been so afraid of the criticism of the members that I have yet to post it.

If you believe that ^^^ last part, send me a PM, I have some land to sell you. ;):D

This is a fun thread. Thanks OP.

I kind of understand some frustration. I love my Ruger 327 Fed Magnum, my recently acquired Model 57 in .41 magnum, too. It was suggested to buy the M57 but learn to reload. And well known is the gun in .327FM will shoot all flavors of .32 caliber ammo. That Ruger GP100 is tied for first in action with my 629-6. Anyways, I’m getting used to the old “answer to an unasked question.” It’s really kinda true though!

I don't care what anybody else shoots. Just be happy you can get ammo right now.
