The first pic reminds me of a sign at a motel in Bellingham WA: "WE TAKE IN-LAWS"

Also I just remembered a conversation that went around many years ago among the altar servers at the Anglican Cathedral where I sang. Having some problems with noisy small children coming up for communion, the suggestion was made (in jest, of course) that the servers should be equipped with seasonally appropriately coloured cloths (ie green for Ordinary Time, purple for Lent, etc) laced with chloroform
