After removing the reverse threaded ejector rod tip and removing the cylinder from the yoke, how do you then remove the ejector and rod from the cylinder?

What I'm used to (older models) you would just unscrew the ejector rod but then those didn't have a removable rod tip. My inclination is to put the tip back on and then use more torque to loosen it turning it counter clockwise. But that's a pretty skinny rod to be putting much torque on. It's never been off since purchased new.

Thanks

I just went through this with mine. Filled the cylinder with fired cases, took the knurled end off, protected the rod with a piece of rubber and unscrewed it with a pair of visegrips that I positioned as close to the front of the cylinder as I could. It is left had thread and it didn't start easily!

Fill chambers with spent casings then use an extractor rod tool like to one in the photo (or possible a drill chuck).

OK, thanks. So you're saying the ejector rod is reverse thread like the rod tip is? They both unscrew clockwise?
