I have my sights on a couple of 19-3s with the 2.5" barrel. One blue one nickel. I want one for my snubby collection. What's the overall opinion on which is more collectible? If you could only have one which one would you guys get? The condition of each is very similar. Thanks.

I will bet they made fewer of the nickel.
If in equal condition, go with the nickel, they are much scarcer. That said, buy both if you can swing it.

I prefer blue over nickel. With that being said nickel guns seem to be worth more as a previous poster said. If collecting go nickel if not get which one you like more.

Collectible, in equal condition, probably the nickel one. But get the one you want and there won't be any regret.
IMHO this is the right answer. "Collectible" is in the eyes of the beholder. The one you prefer is the correct choice.
The ones that got away are always the ones we regret most. And regret sucks.

I would buy both, based on availability, you rarely see two for sale at the same time, much less a blue and a nickel.

With proper care they should be no difference, but a lightly dull or scratched nickel gun is easier to make shiny again.

Nickel provides more protection if you need it. I would prefer a nice blue model just because I like the looks of them and I had one at one time.
