...in Arizona! Still a bit of Summer hanging on but time to get ready.
My small AZ BBQ sidearm:

S&W Model 60 S.S. .38 Spl. (shipped: 5/79) - sent to S&W Performance Center for mirror polish: 2006 - sent to Wayne D’Angelo Engraving: 2007 (D'ANGELO ENGRAVING - Home) - Mother of Pearl stocks

Anyone else getting *ready? Whatcha bringing?

*you don't have to be from AZ

Depends on the BBQ, of course. Outside of a hardcore milsurp banquet, I think I'm covered pretty well. And I do have a Springfield SA35 if General Numbersmatching asks me to help with the catering or some such.

I don't have anything really blingy but any of these would do I reckon:

I actually wore that brace of Vaqueros to a FONRA dinner 20 or so years ago. A bunch of cowboy action shooters went, it was held at Southfork (the ranch in the TV show "Dallas"), we were all glitzed up in western duds and I capped off my outfit with these guns in cowboy action leather. ;)

It depends on the event

This Colt Gold Cup Commander, wearing African Elephant Ivory stocks from the Colt Custom Shop, has already been to four weddings, three funerals, and two inaugurations

For Smith and Wesson events I am extremely fond of this Engraved Lew Horton, Model 686. While not a factory engraved revolver, the workmanship really appealed to me. I found this at a FEGA engraver's table one year many decades ago

I have multiple holsters for both of these, made of various exotic hides, so that I can blend in no matter what I am wearing to the event

This Walther PPK was engraved for me by a retired LE Sergeant. I need to acquire a holster or two for it before I can take it to a BBQ

I think either of these should be Arizona BBQ worthy.

The beautiful leather is complements of our own Bamabiker. He did a beautiful job replicating the floral scroll and matte background as seen on the Model 60.

This 1969 Colt Government in 38 Super needed some leather and, once again, Bamabiker exceeded my expectations.

boykinlp Thanks Larry. The holster @ belt is the only leather project I ever tried. I made it from a Tandy Leather kit when I joined S.A.S.S. in the mid '90's.
And yes, that is the Arkansas Toothpick, custom ordered. -Bill
