'Tis the Season...

For me to get aggravated with all of the "Christmas Music"

Some of my personal "Traditional Top Ten" HATE IT COULD NEVER HEAR IT AGAIN AND BE HAPPY are

"Feliz Navidad", "Jingle Bell Rock", "I'll Be Home For Christmas" "Isaw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and several others whose titles I don't recall.

This list omits all of the stupid "satire" types such as "Grandma Got run Over By A Reindeer" the Mackenzie Brothers (sp?) stupid "And a Beer", etc. which , to me, are just repulsive on the face of it.

What say you?

Any of them are better then listening to another Beatle song ever again.
 
Having worked retail for too long I am pretty much burned out on most Christmas music. Still like some of the real classics, especially when done by the original artists.............

My particular hatred is reserved for bad remakes of old classics, anything from Mariah Carey and any version of "Last Christmas" which is a "song" that really sucks!
 
My choice

After the numerous promotions/reminders for:
#1 Black Friday Sales
#2 Small Business Saturday
#3 Cyber Monday
#4 Giving Tuesday

My Expected Seasonal Good Will was long gone.

I chose to listen to Green Christmas by Stan Freberg.

Deck the halls with advertising,
'Tis the time for merchandising,
Profit never needs a reason,
Get the money, it's the season,

I did buy some Black Friday things for gifting.
I gave my monthly check to the local soup kitchen.
I made my monthly delivery to food pantry.
Other "Helping Hands" did not get to my wallet.

The "ruining" of many Christmas songs is annoying: changing the lyrics for their product advertising. Usually "The 12 Days...", that gosh awful "Ding Ding a ling" song (Christmas Bells?), any music turned into Rap, and the many ruinations of many other songs. And, using the word Holiday instead of what it is.

Mariah Carey is a joke to my way of thinking. She wanted to patent the name of Mrs. Christmas or Miss Christmas or something to that effect a couple of years ago for herself and glad she was denied. That woman has the biggest ego I've ever seen.
