Chuckle for the day....hopefully?

Today will be my last posting for a few days. Dave.357 will be taking over for me. Tomorrow ( Sunday ) Kathy and I travel to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL to begin her hopefully full recovery from bile duct cancer, which is a rare but aggressive form of the disease. The operation( Whipple Bypass ) is a 6-12 hour surgery that is very invasive and has a lengthy recovery.

I will continue to pray for Kathy, you, and the surgeons.
I didn't realize you and Kathy had been married for such a short time until your post just a little while ago. Since I lost my wife to a different cancer just over five years ago I have had a terrible understanding of how traumatic your situation is that I wouldn't have had before. I only wish I could be there with you through this trial. In Christ's Love.

So far as today, I'll take Snoopy.

Good luck to you and especially Kathy, Pete. 6-12 hours; That's some operation, for sure. I hope she recovers well and healthy. That makes my upcoming operation (prostate removal) sound like getting a tooth pulled. Safe travels to you, also. Have a great holiday & New Year. We'll be waiting for some good news.

Pete, a local high school, college, and NFL great, Randy Moss, just had the same surgery about 10 days ago. I heard he is in good shape and recovering. My prayers for your wife and a good outcome.
