Got involved in a competing hobby (stereo equipment), so it's been a year since I've acquired a new revolver. Getting the itch again. Given nothing new, thought I'd post some pictures that i dont think I've posted before. This .357 Magnum shipped October 9, 1950 and doesn't appear to have seen much action. Please forgive my ****** photo box!

That's a beautiful .357 Magnum revolver. 1950 was when my dad's K 22, that sits downstairs was shipped, but the blue is nowhere like that one there! I suppose that gun was part of the Heavy Metal competition.
So, is stereo equipment collecting the hobby that competes with gun collecting, which makes more sense to me, or do you compete with other collectors somehow? I've heard of car bling guys compete with their car stereos. Dang that's a nice gun!

Thanks for the compliment! I should have worded my post better, yes stereo components have been competing (monetarily) with my S&W collecting hobby!

Man, that is stunning. I'm a bit surprised by the SAT. I was under the impression that time frame would be the solid black type.

EDIT...

Or, is that the nickel plated handle?

Thanks Dan! The revolver came to me with that SAT. I'm not an SAT expert by any means, but have heard either could be correct. Since you mentioned it, the one that came with the 357 does appear to be a different finish than the one the came with my 5-screw 44 mag. Guess could possibly be nickle?
