My son manages a local gun store and they just received a small shipment of these "Star Wars" blasters. Courtesy of CMMG, the Han Solo DL-44 MKIV blaster reproductions are .22 LR and the initial batch was 500 units. Not cheap at $899, but if you're a die hard SW fan (Star Wars, not S&W) you need to add one of these to your collection! Just FYI.

Definitely a fan though I think I'd prefer one in 9 just because lol. I had the 3 original films, prior to Lucas changing things (Han did shoot first!) and "improving" the special effects, they were true to the time the films were made-on vhs. Did a marathon viewing one night with some friends haha.

Wish I still had those tapes-I could get one or two nice Smiths for what they sell for now!

Not a Star Wars buff, but a die hard fan offered me real good money for a Wise Lite Sterling for the purpose of making a "Stormtrooper Blaster".
No deal. He would have destroyed it.

Here we are deep in the Zone of - I would love to see one!
Have ZERO interested in buying one!
Have these made from scratch or modified from something like -C96s?

No. Palpatine did nothing wrong. Skywalker, Solo, and Princess Leia were terrorists.

That's a lot closer to Cassian Andor's blaster from Rogue One and Andor. That prop was AR based, unlike the Han Solo blaster, and on screen was a modular system that could be converted into a rifle. Don't think they'll get many takers at that price, but folks will pay big $$ for screen accurate replicas.

Yes, Star Wars nerd here... :p

I have a few blasters, and other prop replicas... I find the history of how they came up with some of these props fascinating. Many of them were bodged together with surplus WWII stuff that was available and cheap where they filmed in England. The light sabers were made from antique camera flashes!

There are folks who take these props and the history of the movie productions very seriously indeed. I know of a guy that will build firing Han Solo replicas on 96 Mausers for a not inconsiderable sum$$.

Here's one of our favorite S&W guys shooting one...

You can get the DVDs of the original theatrical release on eBay but they are quite expensive

There is a 'fan sourced' project that raised funds and re-mastered the original trilogy in 4k HD as they were released in the theaters without any of the later digital add-ons. Much better quality than the 'official' DVD releases and the only way to get the theatrical version. They are available from various sources online if you do a little searching (hint: "4k77").

It's in a gray area legally speaking, but theoretically legal as a 'shared' item if you own the original trilogy on DVD. The folks selling them on eBay have technically crossed the 'copyright' line, but many of them seem to be getting away with it, which is very unlike Disney's usual response.
