Yesterday i picked up a M&P .22 compact to be a suppressor host toy...........Last night installed suppressor and went out and shot it off the porch 4 TIMES...........Brought in back in and the wind screw was hanging on by about 1/2 thread(the windage screw has no detent)'.........So's I call S&W this morning looking for a fix.......The CS guy had no answer other glue or loctite........There goes ya adjustment..........Figure I'll sight it in and fill the hole with RTV that can dug out if needed.

BTW Friend has one it launched the windage screw into orbit awhile back for same reason. This really a crappy rear sight they installed on this gun.

IS there any fixes that ya'll used to fix this problem?

I gave SJC's post a 'like' because a local, good hardware has really tiny o-rings.

I've shot 3 of them. 1st time was at a pistolseed event and the rear sight fell off while I shot it. The guy who let me handle it had just bought it the day before. Luckily, we found the screw and the rear sight. I have 2 for the wife and I to use at anupcoming Pistolseed event and both pistols did the same thing within 3-5 magazines the 1st time we took the to the range.

The sights are absolute Crap, and S&W should be ashamed they put them on this pistol, unless you modify them somehow. What I did was use the Purple Loctite on the screw and it hold the screw in place. It's not a strong formula and is meant for bolts and srews that are meant to be moved. I've spent more on sights and options than I spent on the pistols themselves. I was actually just coming to create a post about what I did and what I tried prior. We now have Holosun 507c Green optic sights on the pistol and it's been a very accurate pistol since then, but it took a little work and trials to get there.

Yep.........The plastic sights on my GSG1911-22 lr are superior.
