Missed a deal today… 25-5 8”

I had the highest bid on a 25-5 at $850. Excellent condish, box and papers.
It got snagged at the “Buy Now!” Price of $1650. I figure it must have been the seller or a shill.
I wouldn’t have expected to win at that bid but I almost did..
I’m surprised it wasn’t bid up to at least $1100

A key for me would have been the time left in the auction. If it gets under 24 hours to go and the bids are nowhere near the buy it now price, I would suspect a shill.

That is BS. Why would someone jump up to that price above the auction price, FWIW I paid $1,250 three years ago mint, no box. But papers and tools.

That’s about what I’m shooting for or 1350 ballpark.

25-5's are nice. Not a fan of the 8 inchers, had a 6 incher that still wasn't just right. Traded for a 4 incher; not it was perfect, for me.
