Won this in an auction not knowing if the grips are MOP or fake. Can't say I care all that much if they're not. Nice little 32 revolver that came with a box with no markings.

Those grips appear to be Jay Scotts. Imitation pearl but decent for shooting as they are just a bit fuller than the factory ones. Need to find a proper set of contemporary factory grips for it. That is a very nice looking revolver.

Improved I frame grips are going to be difficult to find I imagine! :poop:
Improved I frame grips would be difficult to find but fortunately that’s not what you have. It’s a .32 Regulation Police Model of 1953 New I Frame and it’s an early 4 screw pre 1955-56, therefore you’re right it is a Pre Model 31.

And it’s a beauty.

Any Model of 1953 I or J frame sq butt grips will be correct up to mid 1968 when the large diamond around the grip screw was eliminated.
