My 4" -1 was my first 629 too!

My 4" round butt M629-1. I've yet to see another 629 4" of this era that had a round butt. I suspect it may be a 3" gun that was re-barreled to 4" at some point. It's an excellent shooter.

I have the beginnings of a lead on a 629-5 2.5” that is coming in to a local shop soon. Haven’t seen it and have my fingers crossed it’s a fixed sight Camfour but any 2.5” should be cool!

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have scaled back my 629's. I have retained the 4", 6" and 8 3/8" no dash, 5" classic and 6.5" classic dx. However, those are the revolvers I am most likely to shoot and enjoy.
