Congrats, very nice model 13. May I ask what you traded for it?

Here is mine from the same time frame.View attachment 778942
Well, it got a little complicated. He has been trying to buy my Model 53, with inserts, LR cylinder, box and letter so he got that and my wife's Grendel R-31 (SN: 997, which is one of the last made). We agreed to a $700 value on the 13 and I got a stack of C-notes.

Good talking to you yesterday and as mentioned I’m looking for a blue 13 3” barrel. Traded off my 13 4” earlier this year that looked like yours. Don't think it had been fired.

I bought a 13-2 at the gun show years ago. Owner (table) told me it had 1/2 box of .38's through it. Looked like yours. Back then I did not keep guns over 2 years. Did sell it at a decent profit. Bob

Back in the day I never wanted a model 10 or 13. Always wanted a model 19. In 1975 a model 19 or 66 was difficult to find. I did however get a model 19 6 inch. Now that I am older I have several model 10 and 13 revolvers. I have enjoyed reloading and shooting these revolvers.

To me, this is the perfect bbl length for the 13. Should be a steady diet of those being made these days, IMO.
With the introduction of the no lock classics, they could sell a pile of 3” 13’s as they are very hard to come by on the secondary market. I much prefer blue, but may have to make do with a 3” 64 or 65 ( they are hard to come by and pricey as well, but definitely seem to pop up mor3 often than the blued ones)
