I want to wish everyone a happy Father's Day. I lost my Dad in 97' and I still miss him terribly, around this time, every year.

Here`s to my dad. He died in 2003 at 90 years old. He would have been 96 two days ago. Many times his brithday fell on fathers day. He shot his last buck at I think, at 87 years old. He was a gentil giant. Very conservative and religious. I was very proud of him and he kept me straight. He was very quite and certainly had nothing to prove.

On secound thought, cant leave mom out, here they are on their wedding day in 1936. She wasnt scared of anybody, and would talk to and confront anybody if she had to.

Amen. Lost my Dad four years ago at an advanced age. The more I realize the depth of wisdom that man had the more I am in awe of him.

I lost my dad January 2004. There isn't a day that I don't think about him. Happy fathers' day to all.

I have been invited to my daughters house for fathers day. My other two daughters will be there and we will have a cook out by her pool. All the grandchildren will be there and it should be a very nice day. I always tell my children that I don't want gifts, but rather I prefer hugs and I want to see them happy. I hope the rest of you fathers have a wonderful day of your choice.:)

My Dad passed away Last night at 10pm at the age of 86. He was a WW II vet who never let us forget how great of a country we live in.... This will be our worst Fathers Day ever, But Knowing he is Pain Free and in a far better Place will help us through this.

I LOVE YOU DAD

Eagle,

Sorrow about your dad. Mourn some, but try to mix in some celebration of the great life he lived. That's what gets me thru the bad days when I miss Dad the most.

I just put my flag out to remember Dad. It is also flying for yours and all others whose fathers have passed. They're all hanging out in easy chairs, drinking coffee and talking about their great families. Of that I am sure.

God Bless....

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Eagle. My prayers for you and your family. I lost my Dad nearly 3 years ago. For some reason Fathers Day has been the toughest holiday.
For those that have your Dad's, enjoy and build memories.

Here's a pic of Dad around WWII. He was classified for no combat due to his knees and was a nurse's aid? in San Antonio during the war. They came around asking for volunteers to go to the Battle of the Bulge. He volunteered and got appendicitis the day before he was to ship out. Good for me cause I might not be here if he had gone and not returned.

Here's about the last pic of Dad at his kitchen table. He was 86 and a little senile at this point. Look at that smile! Pic was taken on a cell phone so bad quality...

Thinking of you today, Dad. And to answer your concern, Mom's is doing just fine. You did a good job. I look forward to the day I can see you again. I love you.

A Great Man

My Father passed away on March 21st of this year. He was a D-Day Vet and had a military Honor Guard at his funeral. My family and I miss and love him very much....

Eagle, so sorry for your loss. My father-in-law passed this last Wednesday, also a WWII vet. He is going to be missed dearly. Our vets of WWII are going rapidly, as most are in their mid-late eighties to early nineties. God bless them all.

Eagle, I also am sorry for your loss. It sounds like your dad lived a full life.

I lost my dad last year on Father's Day. He was a Holocaust survivor and wrote his memoirs for his grandchildren so that they would know what happened. I miss him every day. Happy Father's Day, Pops!

My first Fathers day without my dad. He passed away in April. I miss him:(

P.S. Notice the picture with him holding up a card with Hillary on it. He always like to make fun of Hillary.
