It's only a few for my 44 but the lube is completely missing. Any household stuff I can use to patch them up? Candle wax, crayon, sizing wax? I do not want to just pitch the bullet in the trash.

It is the lube on the shank and in the lube groove(s) that does the job, not what is on the nose, and this is all inside the case. Just shoot them.
There is none in the groove.
You weren't clear you were talking about BULLETS instead of loaded ammunition. What it sounded like you referred to is the lube on the exposed portion of the bullet had the lube worn off by handling. From others resonses that is what they took you to mean also.
The Johnson's Wax suggestion is excellent. Buying a bottle of Lee Liquid Alox would work too. The Johnson's is probably he better for lubricating than the Lee product.
Like several others here I apply a light coat of Lee Liquid Alox to all of my cast lead bullets. I have had several that "lost" their lube while being shipped. I apply a dab of Alox, let dry, and load as usual.
