Holster Too Loose
My EDC "J" frame leather holster has stretched where the revolver is loose in the holster where the weapon is not secure when bending over.
Is there a method for tightening the holster ?
Thanks,
Jimmy

jimmy, you have two choices: buy a new holster or buy a K frame. lee

Jimmy: You could, if you 'Really' like this holster, take it to a custom holster maker and have him cut the stitching out, line it with a very thin material (leather glued in) and restitch it. Probably more $$ than just buying a new one. ............

You might want to try contacting the holster maker. I've read that some makers will re-block the holster for a tighter fit.

Hey Jimmy
I have two good holsters for the j-frame. Both are RH and black. One is a Galco paddle holster and the other is a double slot med. rise belt holster Blackhawk branded. Both are good holsters, in good condition and hold the gun very well. If you are interested, PM me a mailing address and I will send them to you, no charge. I would be able to get them in the mail by Monday. Be safe.

Very nice thing to do snuffy51.
I was going to suggest 2 things
1) Wet it and let it dry a time or two - leather usually shrinks and stiffens as it dries
2) leather needle and wax thread - add a stitch or three in the right places to tighten it up.

^^^ What he said. I would put the holster in the sink and get it very wet. Then put your gun in a plastic bag and put it in the holster. Rub the holster to fit the outline of the gun and you will no longer have to worry.
I'm a holster maker and I know this works very well.

Let said wet holster and baged firearm dry by placing it in front of your ac/heater return air vent at home. The off and on airflow will slowly and gently dry same. Usually over night.
