Plastic Holsters

There is. It's leather!
Garret Industries makes a leather lined kydex holster.

All seriousness, no additive will prevent finish wear from kydex.

Lately I have been using Plastic /Fiberglass holsters (light weight and quick presentation plus low cost).
Is there a additive that will not scratch the firearm finish?

Whether you use kydex or leather, you are going to get holster wear. I either carry stainless guns or just expect holster wear. I don't carry handguns that I want to keep looking pretty.

YOU NAILED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO PLASTIC for my good guns EVER.

My carry guns show more holster wear with leather than kydex. I still primarily carry in leather. Kydex typically locks in on the trigger guard. I will only typically get wear on the muzzle end of the gun on a good kydex holster.

With leather (especially form fitted leather holsters), the entire side of the slide is brushing against the holster more so than with kydex. .

The Safariland ALS holsters are a plastic, with a suede lining.

A fix for wear on leather holsters.
A trick I learned some 40 years ago was to make a mixture of gun oil and graphite powder (70/30). I got the powder from a tube used to spray in car door locks. Apply heavily inside holster. Rub it in well. Let sit overnight, then take a good rag and wipe out any excess or reapply if needed.
Repeat when needed. I found that keeping the inside leather lubed and some what soft with this mixture helps keep the blued finish and makes for a smoother draw. JMO
