Ayoob holster
This is a holster that was pictured in a recent online Guns article by Massad Ayoob. Does anyone know who made this holster?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never saw one. He is a member here. I have a couple Lethal Force Institute holsters by Ted Blockers Custom Holsters IWB with velcro hook tab on holster to be held by a belt with Velcro pile against your body. These work well and were made in the early 1990s.

It does look like a hybrid but I like that combination. Kydex for shape retension but leather on the body side. I've got several Crossbreed holsters with those characteristics but this holster takes that basic style to another level.
Thanks for the reply and have a great weekend!

My issue with Kydex is I don't want a thin/sharp edge rubbing me. A hybrid would solve that problem. Are their lined Kydex? I have a suede-lined leather holster I love.

My never going without a T-shirt obviates that problem 100%.
And, speaking of hybrids:
(Okay, it's upside down! Mea culpa! )
This Galco is an excellent belt holster, more or less standard leather "back" for a gun belt and the "front"/actual holster for the pistol is Kydex.
This next is a standard IWB Kydex holster from Concealment Express, now called Rounders, whatever that means, because I only know it as a poker player expression. If you have a shirt between you and the Kydex you won't know it's there.

That hybrid Galco is very close to what I’m looking for. I’ll have to check the Galco link again and see if they have one in my usual carry pistols.
Thanks

That scabbard is from Precision Holster in Northern California. I have had very good luck with several of them. Google will get you there.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The scabbard looks very well made and as mentioned earlier, I really like the hybrid design.
I'll contact Precision and see if they have scabbards available for my favorite pistols.
Thanks again,
Tom
BTW, I enjoyed the article you wrote that displayed the scabbard and all the others from you and the other "Guns" and "Handguns" writers.

I contacted them and was told that there are plans in the future to add the Hi Power to their model list. That is something I will try when they are available.
