I have ordered several Lobo holsters in the past. Very nice products.
My latest order was last November.
Aletha e-mailed me in early January that they were starting it and wanted to confirm a few details.
After that - nothing.
E-mailed several times - no reply.
Telephoned and was told that "would get back to me" - nothing.
Just wondering if anyone is having or has had a similar issue..

Still no news from Lobo?

Their website is still up and running as of yesterday. Sure hope this is just a temporary thing and not the end for them. They do really good work.

3:45PM 04-28-23 I noticed this thread, called Mark at Lobo Gun Leather, he picked up on the second ring. There appears to be a little bit more to this story.

A production shop ticket on the order was misplaced and the order did not enter production as scheduled. No phone calls, no complaints, no contact until a refund request was sent via PayPal, which Lobo immediately granted. Other than that, absolutely zero contact from the customer after the initial order was confirmed.

A regrettable incident, one of hundreds of orders becomes misplaced. First follow-up from Mr. Customer was a refund request, which was immediately issued.

Personally, I prefer dealing with humans instead of infallible machines, especially when the humans immediately respond to my refund request.

Your happily retired old hide-pounder wishes you all the best.

That's good to hear. I really enjoyed working with Mark when I bought my offset belt clip holster.

I had excellent results from Lobo Gun Leather on my Concealed Carry Holster. I ordered on the phone, as suggested, in late November and was told there would be about an eight week wait, before I placed the order. It arrived in the first week in February and it is a great holster and belt. I am planning on ordering again from them for the 4516

I have one of their belts. Very nice leather and neat stitching. Double thickness; looks like it could lift a Harley. Only trouble is, it seems to have shrunk in length, but not width! I really gotta cinch tight, as Mule Packer tells us. What to do?

73,
Rick

I wondered the same thing.

I would not suggest any such thing. Mistakes happen, paperwork can be lost, phone calls can be missed, e-mails can fail to appear in the in-box, all sorts of things can happen in any human activities.

During my time running the company I regularly received and replied to 40 or 50 e-mails every day, all while keeping track of inventory, tracking orders pending, pounding out 30 to 50 new pieces every week, and training an assistant in the shop doing basic production work. During my final 9 years I worked 7 days per week, minus 5 days for two hospital stays during cancer treatment and one day for an old friend's funeral about 350 miles away. Every new order received an acknowledgement e-mail with an estimated production time and instructions for payment by mail or electronically. Every order was completed as promised.

That did not deter a few self-anointed rude arrogant people from demanding hand-holding on a daily basis or insisting that their order be given special attention (not that I am suggesting this matter includes such things). Every week included at least one recent graduate of the Holster Genius Academy insisting that I drop everything to focus all attention on his latest epiphany of THE PERFECT HOLSTER FOR ALL TIME, requiring only that I get right to work on it.

Nuff said? Dealing with the public, especially by the thousands every month and every year, is never easy. Not everyone wants to accept being one of several hundred people in the queue for service. When the inevitable happens and something is overlooked or a misunderstanding happens not everyone is understanding or willing to accept the best possible alternative. Some prefer to vent, complain, or take sideways swipes via internet forums to damage reputations (not that I am suggesting anything of the sort in this case).

Glad to be retired now! Only 7 years and I'm starting to feel like a human being again! The occasional urges to rant about human behaviors is becoming less of a driving force in my life!

I feel better now. How about you?
