Will Galco “custom” make their production holsters? For example, they make the Combat Master for a 4” Model 10. Would they make it for a 3” Model 10. I know the 3” will work in the holster for the longer barrel length but I would prefer not to have the excess leather for a smaller foot print.

El Paso Saddlery makes a similar style holster called the "Crosshair" for the S&W K Frame 3". Might be an option for you if Galco won't craft a 3" version of the "Combat Master".

Ask them. All that can happen is they might say NO then you go to plan B.

The price Galco would have to charge would most likely be many times more the a custom maker would charge. Stop a line of production to make a 1 off holster and buy a dummy gun would not be part of their business model

I doubt Galco would make the 3" as a one off, but certainly no harm in calling them to get a definitive answer.

Not saying Galco wouldn't do a custom...but they're in business to make large numbers of holsters and other leather products. To interrupt their assembly process could upset production schedules.

Maybe Galco has a custom department...it never hurts to ask.

A couple of times I've asked El Paso Saddlery to do something different for me and they've always been happy to do so. They're a smaller shop and don't reply on a committee to decide what to make. The major thing is if the mods you want are based upon products already available. I asked them for a paddle holster for a revolver...they were only making paddle holsters for self-loaders but said no problem...they already had the paddles and already made a holster for the revolver I had so it was only a matter of mating the two.
