I saw a "vintage" Hunter holster in a Vintage consignment shop this morning. I was hoping it would fit my pre-Victory but it looked too small. I was thinking maybe my H&R922 then? The number on the back was 1100 and then a 5 after that. It was in really good shape and was priced at $20.00. I did some Googling on it but couldn't come up with what it would fit. It would be a great addition to anyone local who had the gun that fits it.

A “Hunter holster’s” fit doesn’t matter because you already threw the gun away.

(Ow! Sorry…)

I read several of the charts that Google came up with but realized I didn't have anything that it would fit. Whoever has a gun it fits will get a good deal. It looked almost new.

for Hunter the 1100 is the general style of the holster and it could fit, literally, anything. The single digit is the size that designates what guns it fits. Google Hunter Holsters and you will find their fit chart on the website. The first Hunter holsters I bought were around 1960, and the price new at that time was $5-6.00.

Post it For Sale in the classifieds with the style and size and someone will be sure to want it.

It appears to be for semiautos such as the Hi-Power, S&W 422, and P-38.

Here’s a chart to decipher Hunter codes:

Add in the Llama Models IXA & VIII ( Their large frame 45cp & 38Super pistols).
Will likely fit the Llama Model XI as well (the 9mmLuger caliber version) but it's not on the chart separately.

I'd guess the STAR Model A & B pistols as well but I do not know for certain.
These, like the LLama models are slightly smaller frames than the Colt 1911 and with 5" bbls which this holster seems to be an all-around fit for.

Nice reference chart,,thanks for posting it.
