The 686 SSR doesn't ship with moon clips and so I'm only guessing that there would be a headspacing problem and the cylinder wouldn't close using moon clips unless or until the cylinder was modified to accept them to maintain proper headspacing. As I said, I haven't fired the gun and if I had, I wouldn't have even tried moon clips.
