I have a 3954 in great condition (I am not qualified to determine "%" and wouldn't care to insult someone with a guess). I have out about 1000 rounds through it, give or take. It is in excellent shape.
As cool as the DAO action is, I find I prefer the feel of TDA.
I am in a Columbus, Ohio suburb so FTF is cool anywhere from Portsmouth to Columbus to Dayton to Newark to Mansfield as long as you are willing to provide a copy of your DL for my records and I will do the same. Or we can go FFL to FFL and each pay our own shipping. My FFL will require a copy of your DL before they will accept shipment.
I would also consider a K-frame 4" 357. M13, M19, M65 or M66.
The 3954 was made for 2 years only, 1991-92. Rumor has it there were fewer than 200 made. (I cannot substantiate this statement, I read it on an older thread here). Nicknamed "The Slick-Side 9" because of the lack of a de-cocker, it's 1" wide outside the grips, a little over 6" long and weighs 25 oz. 3-1/2" barrel, 8 shot magazine, .260 semi-bobbed hammer, .304 smooth trigger, Novak sights adjustable for drift only. Alloy frame, carbon steel slide. SCSW Catalog value ANIB = $500, Exc = $375. Similar values are shown for the desired trades.
2 mags included - one flat plate and one with pinky extension. Pach grip included if you want it.
