1884 Springfield Trapdoor Cal. 45-70. Good overall condition. The stock is solid and has the usual nicks and dings but there are no cracks or pieces missing. The metal finish is pretty good with some freckling on the hammer and lock but no deep corrosion. The rifling in the barrel is good and there is minimal pitting. The action is tight and strong.

Model 98 Mauser
This is a Yugoslavian K98k Mauser. The Yugoslavian refurbished K98k’s are standard in every way except markings. The original German receiver markings were ground off. The original German marking “MOD.98” on the left receiver rail was left in place. On the left side of the receiver ring was stamped PREDUZECE 44 (pred-oo-zay-shay). This translates to “PUBLIC ESTABLISHMENT” 44. Under the Communist government, all previously state-owned businesses became public property. The “44” is the number of the establishment, it has nothing to do with the date. This is the same arsenal at Kragujevac. When refurbished they were fitted with a new barrel.
This is an 8mm Yugoslavian K98 Mauser that has some sporter/hunter modifications. It has a hooded front sight and a folding open rear sight. The bolt has been reformed to clear the Bushnell 2.5-8X variable power scope mounted in Lyman Tru-lock rings. The blueing is just beautiful. The stock is in good condition and the bore and rifling is excellent.
