1. >>SOLD<< 38 M&P, 5 Screw, 2", Blue. All numbers match on the gun, including the grips. The Box is correct, but does NOT have a matching number. A very nice gun showing very little use and almost no shooting. Very slight muzzle and edge wear. Mild rub on one side of cyl and a few tiny freckles by the logo are the worst spots on the gun (see pics). Perfect bore and a fabulous action. C&R qualified, so CA is no problem. >>SOLD<<$625 shipped with box, >>SOLD<<$525 shipped without box.>>SOLD<<

2. >>SOLD<< Post-War Commercial Victory Model. An early post-war 38 M&P, S V marked frame, Plugged swivel hole, Original Blue, 5", cal 38 Spec. One of the nicest commercial Vics I have ever seen. Moderate muzzle and edge wear. Mild dings on front sight and scattered mild handling marks and fine hairline scratches. All metal numbers match. The grips never had a number, so I don't know them to be original. Perfect bore and a fabulous action. >>SOLD<< $750 shipped >>SOLD<<

3. A PAIR of Model 10-13's with consecutive numbers. This is the Model 1899 Commemorative with no front locking lug. They were numbered with an "M&P" serial number prefix. This pair is #13 and #14.
Both are NIB with all the papers.
Both have light turn lines from handling.
The pair, shipping included, is $4500 includes shipping and insurance.

4. >>SOLD<< Mod 10-14 >>SOLD<<, cal 38 Spec, 4" Heavy Barrel, Blue. The first Mod 10 variation with the LOCK. New in original box with all papers, the Lock keys, AND a nifty lock for your bicycle. Mild turn line from handling, new, unfired otherwise. The keys for the internal lock have light rust. Oddly, many of the keys I have seen are rusty like this. I suppose they did not want to waste oil on them, figuring people would never use them. >>SOLD<< $525 shipped >>SOLD<<

5. >>SOLD<< Lew Horton Heritage Series Mod 24-5, Case Colored, 6-1/2", cal 44 Spec. Produced by the Performance Center in 2001. Only 150 made! See Page 347 of The SCSW. NOTE that this is Serial#13 of the 150. The case colors are STUNNING. Most of these shipped in the Heritage cardboard boxes like the blue one below. This is the only one I have seen in the Performance Center hard case which has the outer shipping box numbered to the gun. It is new and unfired with all the original goodies. It will of course be shipped in a larger box to protect the original cardboard sleeve. >>SOLD<< $1350 includes shipping >>SOLD<<

9. >>SOLD<< Mod 10-11, cal 38 Spec, Blue, 4" Heavy Barrel, New in original box. Round Butt frame with square butt grips. I'm fairly certain this is the LAST Pre-Lock Model 10 variation. It does have MIM parts. The action is VERY nice. Mild cyl ring from handling. New in the orig box with all papers. I did not wipe the original factory oil off it! >>SOLD<< $500 shipped >>SOLD<<

10. >>SOLD<<Model 1905 - First Change 38 M&P, cal 38 Spec, 4", ORIGINAL Nickel. The 05-1st is the first K frame with a rebound slide. It is also the only M&P that had the key on the rebound slide. Note the "jeweled" finish on the inside of the sideplate and frame. You're going to hate me for this, but these early M&P's have a higher level of workmanship than Reg Mags! This is a very nice example of a variant that is hard to find with any kind of condition. The 05-1st was only produced 1906-1908! ALL numbers match including the EXCELLENT grips. There is a mild ding on left muzzle. There are some small spots of pitting at top edge of yoke, around the frame lug, and two cyl flutes (WORST flute is shown). The bore is shiny with a handful of small pits. Case colors are vivid. Action is perfect and sensually smooth. The grips are simply splendid with a legible Pat date. A wonderful example that presents very well despite its flaws. >>SOLD<< $825 shipped >>SOLD<<

11. >>SOLD<< Bodyguard - Pre Mod 38. 2inch, Blue, cal 38 Special. Probably a 1956 gun. Pre 38's are very scarce guns. They did not really get into production till Dec, 1955, and Model numbers appear in 57. Note that this gun has all parts numbered like early 50's guns- Butt, barrel, cyl, extractor, yoke, and grips. Light to moderate muzzle and edge wear. Ding on butt. Scuff on one side of cyl (ignore the white dust). The Model 38 is the only model initially designed and produced as an Airweight till modern times. The steel Mod 49 Bodyguard did not appear till more than 4 years after the Airweight version!
On the Box- I honestly don't remember if the early boxes said "Airweight". I have seen only a couple of Pre-38's YEARS ago! They probably did not, since ALL Bodyguards were Airweights for over 4 years. No visible number is on this box. It would have been on the bottom in white grease pencil. This is probably the proper box since NO Model number is printed. It has the Helpful Hints, half the Warranty card, and the brush shown. I suspect that the brush is a factory product, but I can't swear to it.
Mechanically perfect with a great action that is well timed. Bore and chambers perfect. >>SOLD<< $795 shipped. >>SOLD<<

12. >>SOLD<< Mod 10-7 Hong Kong C&E. Hong Kong Customs & Export contract. 4 inch, Blue, cal 38 Special. Smooth Combat Trigger and Butt Swivel. A nice example of the Hong Kong contarct guns. Moderate muzzle and edge wear, slight browning on gripstraps. Swivel shape slightly distorted. Mild rub on one side of cyl. Scattered light handling marks. Above average for a cop gun. Grips show the most wear, but are un-numbered and could be replaced. Bore and chambers are perfect. Action is very smooth, tight, and superbly timed. A good gun. Box and Trigger lock included. >>SOLD<< $475 shipped. >>SOLD<<

13. Mod 1899 4inch, Original Nickel, cal 38 Special. A nice example of the first K frame model. There is roughly 40% nickel loss, but the bare spots are bright and blend very well, leaving this a very decent looking gun- better than the pics make it look. Look closely- the sideplate is mostly bare. All numbers match. Case colors are nice and still vivid. The grips are original and numbered to the gun, and in very nice shape with no problems. Bore is shiny but has light pitting scattered full length. Yoke detent still present. The action is superbly smooth, tight, and well timed. $675 shipped.

14. Mod 10-5 4 inch, Blue, cal 38 Spec. Very early 1970's. Just a decent old Mod 10 showing mild use. Trace of muzzle wear. Slight browning and a scuff on bottom strap. A mild scratch and some small frekle patches on sideplate. Still a very decent looking gun with perfect bore and chambers. Action is very smooth and well timed. Grips are later replacements and have no number. $450 shipped.

15. Mod 1902- 1st Change. 4 inch, Original Nickel. Some nickel loss, but the gun is prettier than the pics make it look. Case colors are nice and still vivid. All numbers match. The grips are original and numbered to the gun, and in very nice shape with no problems. Bore is shiny but has light pitting scattered full length. Yoke detent still present. The action is superbly smooth, tight, and well timed. $725 shipped.

16. >>SOLD<< Mod 1905- 4th Change. A nice early 4th Change, probably in the first 2 or 3 years for the 4th, and Pre WW I. 4 inch, Original Nickel. All numbers match on metal. The grips have no visible number, but fit about perfectly and may be original. They obviously show more wear than the metal. Large ding on bottom of right grip. The blem on the sideplate and the mild ding on edge of trigger guard are about the only flaws in the nickel beyond a few very mild handling marks. Bore is shiny with a couple of patches of trace pitting that you will have trouble seeing. Yoke detent still present. The action is superbly smooth, tight, and well timed. [B][B]>>SOLD<< $550 shipped.>>SOLD<<

17. >>SOLD<< Pre Model 13. Mod 10-6, cal 357 Mag, 4" Heavy Barrel, Blue.
Around 1972-73, the NYSP contacted S&W with an interest in a fixed sight .357 Magnum service revolver. S&W met that need by simply fitting the recessed Model 19 cylinder to the heavy barreled Model 10-6.
Roy Jinks tells me this one shipped in Dec, 1973.
Note that the cylinder is numbered to the gun, and has an R stamped on it.
The Model number is 10-6.
The barrel is marked 357 Magnum.
They were shipped with a smooth .4" Combat Trigger.
It has moderate holster wear on barrel, cylinder, and frame like you would expect on a cop gun. Bore, chambers, and action are perfect.
The box almost certainly proves that the guns were traded back to S&W, or that S&W was asked to dispose of them for NYSP when they were superseded in service.
Note that the packer marked the label "13-2" for the model because the Mod 13 had come in to existence by the time they were traded in, and note also the orange sticker stating "Marked / 10 / (Exclnt)". The label denotes the smooth trigger.
Another interesting point about this gun is that it is immaculately clean. I do not mean like when you or I put our best cleaning on a gun, but rather cleaner than a NEW gun, showing absolutely no residue from shooting, even though it has clearly been fired many rounds. The forcing cone does not even retain a trace of carbon! It also has a light preservative oil inside and out. I firmly believe that S&W cleaned them in a boiling oil, or perhaps an ultrasonic process, and then dipped it in the light preservative.
The grip number is off by about 12,000, and I wonder if that occurred at NYSP, or if the factory simply did not try to rematch grips after cleaning the guns. They are not new grips. They fit extremely well.
I ran a thread about this gun here- The Pre-13 >>SOLD<< $900 >>SOLD<< shipped and insured.

18. >>SOLD<< Model 58. cal 41 Mag, Blue, 4" Heavy Barrel. Box has matching number, grips do not. A decent gun that appears to have been carried some and shot very little. Light muzzle and edge wear. Some rubbing on topstrap. A few scattered light handling marks. Gripstraps are very nice. No rust or freckles anywhere. Bore and chambers are perfect. Box is solid and clean with Instruction Sheet and Warranty card. No cleaning tools. >>SOLD<< $950 shipped. >>SOLD<<

19. >>SOLD<< 38 M&P 4 Screw Pre Model 10. Blue, 4". Probably built in 56. Looks like it might have been a cop gun and shows holster wear on muzzle, all sides of cyl, frame corner, and topstrap. Gripstraps are still very nice. No rust or freckles. Perfect bore, chambers, and action is very nice. Grips are probably P.D. replacements because they have no number. They are very nice. >>SOLD<< $425 shipped.>>SOLD<<

20. >>SOLD<< Model 10-3. Blue, 4 Screw, 4" Heavy Barrel. Did you know the 10-3 variant was only in production for less than a year? It was superseded by the 10-6 in less than 11 months. See the pic from Roy's History, page 170. Even with the wear it shows, this gun came from a rather well known M&P collection. They're hard to find in high condition. This one shows use as a cop gun with fairly heavy holster wear. The grips are original and number to the gun. The right grip shows a crack at top but is tight and solid. Bore, chambers, and action are superb. >>SOLD<< $425 shipped>>SOLD<<

21. >>SOLD<< Model 10-1. Blue, 4 Screw, 4" Heavy Barrel. Did you know the 10-1 was only in production for about 22 months before being superseded by the 10-3 above? The Dash 1 denoted the new Heavy Barrel. Note that this frame had already been stamped with the 10, and when they added the 1, there was not enough room for the dash. A very decent gun with muzzle and edge wear. Has a noticeable scratch on sideplate. The grips do not have a matching number. They are very nice with a tiny chip on one upper front corner. Bore, chambers, and action are superb. >>SOLD<< $450 shipped>>SOLD<<
