SOLD PENDING FUNDS
I obtain this beauty from our friend Thiokol on this forum earlier this month, but I have to say, I don't think I'm worthy to own this fine firearm without being tempted to shoot it. It should remain as it is and in a true collector's possession.
Quoting from Thiokol's post: Here is one that you don't see very often, if ever. It is one of the revolvers built for the U.S. State Department's Diplomatic Security Service. There is a lot of information available on the internet about these revolvers including the serial number range. Here's what a Google search turns up:

This one in like new condition with the exception of a rub mark on the side plate which I believe was caused by the Crimson Trace grips that the former owner had on the gun. I have tried to photograph it as best as I could. The gun will come with the original box with the insert and the top hat but nothing else.
I would be willing to consider trading for pre-lock S&W's (ideally 3" model 66 or 19 in .357 or a SW Performance Center "K-Comp") or a shooter grade Colt Python, King Cobra or Anaconda plus cash on my end. I will also include the pictured MINT K frame wood SW stocks as a bonus. The black grips are the original grips.
Email or PM me if interested in a possible trade or cash deal. This really should go to a person who collects nice revolvers and remove my temptation to shoot it! Prefer trade.
thanks all.
