Here is a very scarce Smith & Wesson pistol. This is a Model 147A, one of only 112 ever made. This is essentially a steel-framed version of the Model 59...a first generation double-action 9mm with 14-shot magazine. 130 frames were manufactured in order to test the tooling for a new model. Of these 130 frames, only 112 were made into finished pistols. These 112 pistols were originally marked "Model 47" but before shipment the "1" and the "A" prefix and suffix were added. This pistol is in excellent original condition. The original blue finish rates 98-99% with only some very sight handling wear. The original black plastic grips are in excellent shape as well, again with only a few minor handling marks. The mechanics are in perfect working order and the bore is excellent. It comes with one 14-shot magazine. An extremely scarce pistol and a great prize for the Smith & Wesson collector! $3,500.00 OBO. Buyer pays for all shipping and transfer fees. Would prefer a face to face sale.
