Handcuff keys for smith and wesson - m100
I have two sets of handcuffs - S&W M100 cuffs, and I cannot find the keys to them.
Anyone know where I can get 2 keys? I checked one place and the keys were reasonable, but the shipping was 10.00
These are the older model cuffs.
Any information would be appreciated.

Don't know what you mean by "older"
but for as long as I have been handling police handcuffs (since 1977) all the keys have been interchangeable - necessary since the officer who cuffed the suspect and the jailer who uncuffed him were seldom one and the same. Most uniform stores used to sell them for a dollar or so but it has been 15 years since I bought any.

Thanks for the replies. According to several websites, there is a new design and an old design, whatever that means.
I was talking to our sheriff the other day, and he told me that they have to keep several different type keys at the jail for different cuffs (local police, highway patrol, game warden, etc.)
The web site that was posted is more reasonable on shipping, 5.99 flat rate. That is the best price I have seen so far.

S&W does make a high-security cuff that uses a special key, but the rest are interchangeable. The only difference between the "new design" and "old design" keys are that the newer ones are made from a thicker metal.
Any universal cuff key will work. My academy class used S&W, Peerless, Hiatts, HWC, and ASP cuffs; every key we had fit every pair of cuffs, even a couple of no-names from an Army/Navy store.
