Calling Allyn. French Walther PP Manurhin
Found one at the shop today in 32 auto. Not a old Police trade in but a privately owned one. In box, with manual and extra magazine. Beautiful shape. has a different color grip, can't remember but they are not black but are original. Only got a quick look.
What's a good price for one of these?. It's just a really neat looking gun.
Any, all comments appreciated.

Ooops, forgot about that. Someone wake him up. I just figured he know a lot about them from his previous posts on Walthers. I have a stainless SW Walther in 380 but the blued version seems to have a bit more "class" to it.

Don't know what they are going for today, but a couple of years ago Centerfire Systems was selling them (police trade ins?) for $250.

Alot of the French made & maked PP pistols had plastic grips of a dark brown,, almost reddish color to them with the Manurhin logo cast into them.
The Manurhin marked ones seem to bring a bit less than a Walther marked gun (though the parts were all made at the same factory in France).
A 32acp in exc cond w/box and 2 mags, papers seems to bring between $350 to somewhere under $400 from what I've seen.
Unless you get an excited buyer, $400 seems to be the limit on a Manurhin PP in 32.
Beautiful pistols but there is little collector interest (yet) and it's quite a big handgun for the 32acp.
If it's not import marked for some reason (imported before '86), that would increase the value a bit to some folks.

This one was imported by Interarms, it is not a Police trade in and in excellent condition. I have to look at closer to see what markings are on it. My year old Blue Book puts it at $360 for 100% and $275 for 95%. The box and papers are very neat looking so I imagine that and extra mag would add some value. It only holds 1 more round than a 380 so yes it is a large gun for a 32. Fun to shoot though. It's one of the few reloading dies I don't have.

Can't comment on price over there. Over here in France I have seen one for 450* which is about $675. They tend to be more expensive over here, even though it was made here.

If it is still there when I get my permit I will have it.

Just found another PP NIB, this time for 350* (about $520).
Have already sent e-mail asking them to reserve it for me.

Buy it. The general consensus seems to be that they are quality guns that will give you a lot of pleasure.
I am not an expert on PPs or PPKs, or indeed any guns, merely sufficiently interested to ask questions and visit places where I can get advice and info. Until recently I had no special interest in buying any more guns, but as my existing permits were due for renewal I thought why not ask for 2 more.
That’s when I got the PP or PPK bug. Can’t get rid of it. I didn’t even know it was James Bond’s gun. Never seen a James Bond movie. Just liked the appearance and I like what people say about it. The latest one I have found for sale was bought originally in 1954, and is still NIB.

Never seen a Bond film??? Rent some of the older ones. I still think Sean Connery was the best, others might disagree. I like Pierce Brosnan also?
It's like who is the best Dr Who??

They have gone up in value like everything else. I have seen some mint condition ones lately go for around $450.00. You cannot compare them to the police trade ins that CDNN and other distributors had a few years ago. They ranged from good to very good. Never did see an excellent condition one and I have owned several. I got one many many years ago that was excellent condition from Tilmor Police.

Have sent a cheque for the Manurhin PP shown in my earlier posting. Waiting for the gun to arrive.

I read that German police got maybe one jam about every 50 shots with the PP. Let us know how yours shoots when you can.

Allyn, I got mine the other day! I only shot 2 magazines through it. Perfect! and accurate as can be Will post some pics tomorrow. Actually found some 32ACP at Wal Mart. It's the only caliber I do not reload (yet).
I called CDNN as they had some Coc Bolo grips advertised but of course they are out of stock.
