Sir, without papers, it's just the sum of the parts. Probably $1,800-ish if everything's right and nice.

JMHO, FWIW.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Hi:
NO PAPERS!!
Original Box?
Has it been fired?
Turn ring?
Has it been touched by bare hands?
Has it been kept in a germ free and smoke free environment?
#### Excuse me, my meds has not kicked in yet, and I haven't had my morning coffee yet.
I have just slapped myself so I should be ok shortly.

There are lots of fake D's around. About 10 years ago the market was swamped with fakes using Chinese knockoff parts (scope mount adaptor, etc).

I would assume any D without papers is a fake untill proven otherwise.

Proof would probably only be available from CMP (they will research ser numbers for a fee).

Im with M1gunner on this one, if your paying real gun price, make sure it's a real one. Im a bit out of the loop on price's these days so Im no help there.

M1 D

If you know the seller and they will hold the rifle for you, you can send the ser # to the CPM and they will tell you if they have a record of it being sold as an M1 D before you make your deal. An M1 D without CMP paperwork is only worth the sum of its parts. Some were imported from Israel by SAMCO I believe and will sell for a bit more if in good condition. Look for the import mark on the bottom of the barrel near the receiver. There are fake barrels and scope mounts out there, but they are fairly easy to spot if you know what to look for. There is also a company reproducing the M84 scope, but I have not seen one yet.
