Default Red Dot for Mark III Standard?

Hello
Is there a no-mods red dot sight for this gun?
I just have the standard with fixed sights.
Thanks.

Something like this from Aimtech http://www.aimtech-mounts.com?

It's labeled MKII, but it should fit the MKIII also - call them and ask

I believe all the MkIIIs are drilled and tapped for a top rail. Put one on and apply the sight of choice!

I'd considered putting a BSA reflex on mine, but decided to leave it alone for the time being.

The OP's gun is the MKIII standard model. If you will go to
Ruger MarkIII Standard Rimfire Pistol Features
and click on "sighting system" it shows a receiver without scope mount provisions.

It might show that, but it also says "drilled and tapped receiver for WeaverŪ-style scope base adapters (included FREE) for easy mounting of optics."

My Mark III Target came with a free rail and drilled and tapped. I mounted a NcStar red dot. Maybe the standard doesn't include the free rail? Included in msg is a picture.

I picked up a brand new MK III Target on Thursday, owners manual says that only Target models are drilled and tapped. The scope rail fits all MK III's but the standard models must be drilled and tapped.

Weaver used to make a no drill scope mount kit for Rugers that weren't drilled and tapped. I bought one years ago for a MKI. You might check with them and see if they still make them.

I have Millet Red Dot on a MKII that came drilled and tapped. It makes for a fun plinker but difficult to carry other than a bandalier holster.
