Some years ago, the Orvis company, best known for its fishing rods, offered drinking glasses in its catalogs, especially the gift catalog. These are table glasses, in several sizes.
They are distinguished by color paintings of game birds, ducks, or game fish on them. The birds, at least, were done by an artist named Ned Smith. His name is on the glasses, under the art.
Orvis discontinued these, and their customer service rep couldn't tell me where to find them.
I'd like more, and some to replace a few broken ones from those that I now have.
Some of these have a swirly effect and were referred to as "loop optic" glass. The rest are standard glass, whch were cheaper.
Does anyone recall these, and have any idea of who might sell them now?
Just a shot in the dark, but I'm constantly amazed at what members here know...
Thanks,
